Community guidelines

Keep Spark Birds respectful, useful, and safe

Spark Birds community features are intended to help people share sightings and engage constructively. These guidelines explain the behaviour expected in our community and how we respond when the guidelines are not followed.

Be respectful

Do not harass, bully, threaten, shame, or target other users. Personal attacks and degrading behavior are not acceptable.

Be honest

Do not impersonate people, misrepresent identity, or deliberately post misleading content intended to deceive other users.

Do not spam

Repetitive, promotional, irrelevant, or abusive posting behavior can be removed and may lead to account restrictions.

Content that is not allowed

  • harassment or abusive language
  • hate, threats, or violent content
  • fraud, scams, or impersonation
  • spam or coordinated abuse
  • illegal or clearly harmful content

Reporting and moderation

Spark Birds may provide ways to report content, comments, or users. Reports may be reviewed using automated checks and by our moderation team. Actions can include content removal, warnings, temporary restrictions, suspension, or permanent account action depending on severity and repeat behavior.

Blocking and user safety

If another user is abusive or unwelcome, use any blocking or reporting tools provided by the app. Spark Birds may limit interaction between users where appropriate to support safety.
