These terms describe how Spark Birds works, including guest browsing, signed-in accounts, Full Access subscriptions, content, community use, and service availability.
Spark Birds is a bird identification and birdwatching app. You can browse species without Full Access. Saving sightings, AI Bird Log, nearby alerts, community, and analytics require Spark Birds Full Access after you sign in. You agree to use the service lawfully, honestly, and in a way that does not interfere with the safety or availability of the platform.
You can browse as a guest. An account is required to use and sync Full Access features. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your Spark Birds account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. Do not share passwords or attempt to access accounts that do not belong to you.
Spark Birds Full Access is an auto-renewable yearly subscription purchased through the Apple App Store. It starts with a 7-day free trial, then continues at the storefront price (United Kingdom £1.99 a year) unless you cancel. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. The subscription renews each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Restore Purchases is available in the app. People who already bought the earlier lifetime Full Access product, or the paid app before build 16, keep Full Access and are not charged again for that existing entitlement.
Starting the trial or subscription is optional. If you choose Not now, paid features stay locked until you start the trial or restore a valid purchase. Signing in does not start the trial or charge you.
You retain responsibility for content you submit. By posting content in Spark Birds, you grant the service the permissions reasonably necessary to host, display, process, moderate, and operate that content in connection with the product.
Spark Birds may review reports, remove content, restrict accounts, warn users, suspend access, or take other reasonable moderation and safety actions where needed to protect users, the platform, or legal compliance requirements.
Spark Birds may change, improve, pause, or discontinue features at any time. The service is provided on an as-available basis and may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or problems affecting services we rely on.
